Mariana Viollaz

Mariana Viollaz has a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), Argentina. She is a Senior Researcher at the Center for Distributive, Labor and Social Studies (CEDLAS) of the UNLP, and has been a postdoctoral fellow at the ILR School of Cornell University, USA. Her research is focused on the intersection of labor and development economics in Latin America and the Caribbean region. Her research has been published by Oxford University Press and by journals such as the Journal of Economic Inequality, International Labour Review and CEPAL Review, and by institutional working paper series such as the World Bank Policy Research Working Paper Series, WIDER Working Papers, IZA Discussion Papers, and CEDLAS Working Papers.
