Simon Bunel is an economist at the Economic Studies department of the French Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (Insee). He is also a PhD student at the Paris School of Economics and the Collège de France (Economics and Innovation Lab). Simon graduated from the École polytechnique and ENSAE and holds a MSc from the Paris School of Economics. His research interests focus on innovation, productivity, and technical change. More specifically, his research considers the effect of public subsidies in favor of R&D and innovation (R&D tax credit, and so on) on firms, the impact of creative destruction process on the measurement of economic growth, and the link between automation, employment, and productivity.
